This is an information
page about your Unit Final in Science for 4th Quarter. Rather than a
Unit Exam, I have decided to test you with individual hands-on learning over the
next 5 weeks. Each
week will be worth 20 points, for a total after 5 weeks, of 100 points by the
end of May.
Each
week I will give you a small
mini-project that must be completed within 1 week’s time. You will be on a
tight time-line for handing things in, so DO
NOT FALL BEHIND. It will be dangerous to your final grade.
This week we will be
learning about Natural Resources, and your mini-project will reflect that.

#1: Natural Resources

Part
I: Go on a scavenger hunt through
magazines and newspapers looking for pictures of the following natural
resources: water, soil, air, coal, and trees. Use as many pictures as you can
find.
On
an 8 ½ x 11 piece of copy paper, create a collage of these pictures. Back this
paper with a piece of colorful construction paper.

II: On a separate piece of paper,
write out the names of each of these 5 natural resources and for each one, write
2 ways we can protect or renew them. You may type or hands write this page.
