Mrs. Quintiliani was born in Brooklyn, NY many, many, many years ago. She received an A.S. degree from Orange County Community College, and a B.S. degree in Psychology, with a minor in Science from the College of New Rochelle. She finally received her Master of Arts in Teaching from Marywood University; however, since school is her life, Mrs. Q has recently finished her second graduate degree, a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Felician College.
Mrs. Q has done many fun and exciting things in her life; she was a Nurse's Aide, she worked in the Pathology Lab at Johns Hopkins Hospital, she worked as a Camp Counselor, she worked for Hospice, and she was even a stockbroker on Wall Street! However, her most exciting work has always been teaching.
Mrs. Quintiliani designed, created, directed, and taught at St. Vincent de Paul Preschool for eight years. This early childhood center serves both Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten children and grew from 14 to 62 students within 4 years. Mrs. Q has taught Religious Education to various grades at St. Vincent's since 1989. She has primarily taught 4th and 7th graders and served as Confirmation Coordinator for her parish for many years. Mrs. Q has given countless seminars and workshops throughout the years for the CCD teachers of St. Vincent's Parish. Mrs. Q has also served as teacher for the grown-ups of the Parish, helping them to learn more about God. She is very active at St. Vincent de Paul's, having brought both Liturgy of the Word for Children and Vacation Bible School to the Parish. She was an original contributing editor for the parish newspaper, The Mustard Seed when it was first published many years ago. For many years both Mr. & Mrs. Q served as Music Directors; they played guitar and cantored at Mass. They took a break from playing in 2008, and have enjoyed just going to Mass on Sunday as parishioners for the first time since they were teenagers!
In addition to the Preschool, Mrs. Q taught for two years at Trinity Catholic in Port Jervis, NY and for 3 years was an Adjunct Instructor for the Early Childhood Program at Orange County Community College. She has taught fourth grade at Notre Dame Elementary since the 2001 school year, and looks forward to another great year, every year. She serves as the Director of Religious Formation for the school and was also an Instructor for the Pastoral Formation Institute for the Diocese of Scranton, having designed for them the curriculum for Catechetical Methodology.
Currently, Mrs. Q serves on the Board of Directors for the organization Safe Haven, which is a group who helps others who have been physically hurt by people. In addition, Mrs. Q goes to the Pike County Correctional Facility twice each month to teach the men in jail about the Scriptures and about Jesus and how much he loves them.
Mr. and Mrs. Quintiliani have been married since 1979, and have been blessed with two incredible children who they love very much, Daniel and Laura, both who make them very, very proud. Daniel is a graduate of ESU and lives at home; while Laura, who graduated from NDHS in 2008, is now attending Marywood University. They have a little dog named Oscar, who is very pesky and very grouchy, but adorable, and they all live happily, far, far away in Dingmans Hills.
