Teacher Profile
Elizabeth DeRoo is a graduate of Pocono Central Catholic High School, Cresco, PA. She graduated from Wilkes College in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology, concentration in Elementary Education. Her experience includes two years of teaching 4th grade at Msgr. McHugh School, Cresco, PA. She joined the Notre Dame faculty in 1993. During her time at Notre Dame, she has taught 3rd grade, Kindergarten, and 5th grade. She is currently teaching Computer basics to children in 2nd through 4th grades. Mrs. DeRoo received her Religious Certification from the Scranton Diocese Office of Religious Education Institute in 2000. She serves on many committees within the school, most recently as a member of the Notre Dame Elementary School Consultative Board for the Meitler Study of Catholic Schools in the Scranton Diocese and co-chair of the Middle States 3-year Evaluation Team. Mrs. DeRoo regularly attends conferences, workshops, and training seminars.
Mrs. DeRoo is married and the mother of two children. Both children have graduated from Notre Dame Elementary and currently attend Notre Dame High School.
