Do I need to call after Labor Day for an application?
No. NDES accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Do applicants come from a feeder pre-school program?
No. We accept applicants from the many great pre-school programs in the area.
When are tours conducted?
Tours are conducted throughout the year, on a regular basis, and scheduled based on the interest of the family. Tours can be scheduled by calling the NDES office at (570) 421-3651. NDES does conduct Open House opportunities.
Is the admissions process different for siblings of enrolled students and for children of alumnae?
No. The admissions process remains the same for all applicants however, siblings and legacy parents are given special consideration in the admissions process and are encouraged to contact the office in early winter of the year before matriculation.
Do you require letters of recommendation for elementary school admission?
No we do not however, you are welcomed to send us any pertinent information that you feel may help us learn about your child.
Do you have a nursery school program?
No. Our exceptional Pre-K three year Montessori program is available.
Is there an afterschool program?
Yes. NDES has an after school program Monday through Friday from dismissal to 5:30 pm.
Is Religion a part of your curriculum?
Yes. While NDES is committed to the traditions of Catholicism in our curriculum and teachings, we invite religious diversity and open our school to all and see those who are not Catholic as invited and celebrated guests to our services.
Where do students attend school after their time at NDES ends in sixth grade?
While students complete their elementary school career at NDES, their experience as a student of the Notre Dame Regional School system does not end. Our Jr./Sr. High School begins in seventh grade and continues through high school.
With exceptional faculty and administration, Notre Dame Jr./Sr. High School graduates have had:
• 100% graduation rate
• 98% attending higher education institutions
• SAT scores that are 20% higher than the county average
• $100K in scholarships
