Parent-to-Parent Tips

Tue 9/1, Wed 9/2 or Thurs 9/3 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Our child’s first day at Notre Dame Elementary School.

The questions we asked ourselves,

“Will they be okay without us?”  “Did we prepare them properly?”  “Will they adjust?” “Did we miss anything?” 

“Will they find the bathroom?”  “Will they get along with others?”

And what about us?  The parents!  Are we ready, are we prepared?

While the Pre-K 4 and kindergarten students join their teacher for the first time in their very own classroom, you are invited to join us (NDES parents) in the school cafeteria for coffee, donuts, support, fellowship AND all the parent-to-parent tips we can think of.

During your orientation, we will address the following:

¶          Snow days

¶          Brown envelopes

¶          Lunch money & schedule

¶          Drop off & pick up

¶          Recess

¶          Fundraising

¶          Parent Networking Opportunities

¶          Parent Committees

¶          Back To School Night

¶          Uniforms…and much…much…more!

Please do not miss this opportunity to meet some of the volunteer parents, gather a few phone numbers, and gain a sense of relief that comes from answered questions and concerns.

In case you were wondering…many parents will dress their child in the NDES uniform

 the day of the Kindergarten orientation however only you know your child’s

personality and comfort level. Uniform, on this day only, is optional.
