REPORT CARDS

Report cards are distributed four (4) times during the school year. Parents are requested to examine carefully and sign each report card. If the report card indicates that the student's work is not satisfactory, parents should confer with the teacher at once so that improvement can be achieved during the subsequent marking period. It is important that parents note and are aware of their child's personal development as well as scholastic progress. The back of the report card contains a section for parent's signature and comments. Signed report cards must be returned to the homeroom teacher within one week of report card distribution.
Tests and class work will be sent home periodically to notify parents of the accomplishments of their children. If a child is in apparent danger of failing, parents will be informed. Interim notices are sent home for parent's signature regarding those students who are experiencing difficulties in particular subject areas. In the event that a student fails a subject for the year, work can be made up during the summer in a manner approved by the principal. Two failures constitute a retention in that grade. The mutual cooperation of school and home is absolutely essential for a child's successful academic achievement.
