Technology
The computer lab is equipped with
27 workstations that
are IBM-compatible computers, mostly operating in a
Windows XP environment. The computers are networked to a
Windows NT Server. Each student is taught basic
keyboarding, word processing, and desktop publishing
utilizing software that includes Type to Learn,
Microsoft Office 2003 and Hyper Studio. The lab is also
connected to the Internet where students participate in
supervised research sessions. The lab is equipped with digital cameras and scanners for additional classroom
projects.
The library also has a workstation computerized
research center connected to the Internet for the
students together with CD-ROM encyclopedia. Computers
are also located in the classroom with grade specific
software. A technology plan is in place to further
enhance the resources for the students and faculty.
