Technology
The computer lab is equipped with 20 workstations that
are Pentium III IBM-compatible computers operating in a
Windows 98 environment. The computers are networked to a
Windows NT Server. Each student is taught basic
keyboarding, word processing, and desktop publishing
utilizing software that includes Type to Learn,
Microsoft Office 2000 and Hyper Studio. The lab is also
connected to the Internet where students participate in
supervised research sessions. The lab is equipped with a
digital camera and scanner for additional classroom
projects.
The library also has a three workstation computerized
research center connected to the Internet for the
students together with CD-ROM encyclopedia. Computers
are also located in the classroom with grade specific
software. A technology plan is in place to further
enhance the resources for the students and faculty.
